Norman Smurthwaite requests meeting with Black & Gold group

Posted on 22/02/2019
Following Alan Baker's discussion with Mr Smurthwaite, the owner called Mr Baker yesterday with a request to meet with representatives of B&G to discuss the contents of the excellent Norman Mysteries series of articles on our website.

By chance, the Group were holding their weekly meeting last night  and it was explained to NS that his request would be discussed.

As part of the Any Other Business section of the meeting, the Group decided to agree to a meeting with the owner but on the basis that:

• Notes would be taken and published;

• 4 representatives of the Group, including our financial and legal experts, must be present;

• The meeting was to be held at a venue away from Vale Park.

Mr Smurthwaite agreed to the above, with the exception that he asked to see a copy of the minutes before publication.

Attempts were made to fix a meeting but competing commitments meant that it won't now happen until the Chairman returns from Hong Kong , following discussions with a prospective owner.
